Heel Pain

Plantar Fasciitis

You may wake up in the morning and experience heel pain when you first get out of bed or after sitting for a while. Inflammation of the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that supports the arch, can result from faulty biomechanics.

Heel Spurs

Bony growths on the underside of the heel bone, similar symptoms to plantar fasciitis.

Achilles Tendonitis

Experiencing pain and swelling at the back of the heel. Biomechanical issues can contribute to overuse and inflammation of the Achilles tendon. Treatment may include physical therapy, footwear modifications, and gait analysis.

Sever’s Disease

Pain experienced at the back of the heel in children. Sever’s disease is an inflammation of the growth plate in the heel bone. It often affects active children during periods of rapid growth. It is more common between the ages of 8–13 years of age.
